BUSONGORA NORTH CONSTITUENCY CANDIDATES AND THEIR AGENTS, KASESE DISTRICT HOLD A MEETING WITH REGISTRAR AND POLICE.

Starting at 9:30am today at Hiima Town Council hall, Seventy eight Participants( candidates and their agents) from local council three to Parliamentary level for Busongora North Constituency, turned up for a meeting organized by the offices of; District registrar and Police in-charge of political and electoral processes. Rweco members; Good Hope and Kali Focal persons and Hiima CPF (Observer) were officially invited.
However, not all candidates invited, attended like among the seven sub counties' incumbent local council three chairpersons, only four attended with even no apology. But all Four Members of Parliament, Candidates attended ( FDC, NRM, PPP and Independent)
A lot of emphasis was put on observance of law and order by the candidates and their agents during the processes especially campaigns and the police in-charge, Mr. Monday Karim categorically assured all parties that the police is professional enough this time to work with all, with neutrality. And that Police is planning to deploy 2-3 police election constables at every polling station during the polling days in-abid to minimize vote rigging and election violence working closely with the citizens and other observers from the civil society.
About the Mubuku violence during Besigye's visit to Kasese, The Police in-charge said that the case has already been registered in the state attorney's office with file number: CRB1268/2010 and that the culprit Mr. Matovu if found guilty, must face the law individually without considering his party status.
The Meeting ended peacefully at 1pm with harmonization of campaign programmes by MP Candidates
