Face the Citizens at Kasese Catholic Hall

Today there is an on going face the citizens events organised by Good Hope and KALI member organizations of RWECO and CEWIT. The event was opened by Mr Paddy Director Good Hope and an opening preamble by Mr James Mwirima National Cordinator CEWIT. The event was moderatedd by popular journalist Mr Kamara Patrick from NTV and Mr Gwadda from CCEDU and captured by Fred and Emma from CEWIT.

The event was a two hour sessions broadcast live on Guide Radio and Messiah radio .In attendance among the aspirants from NRM, FDC, PPP, Independent Candidates, JEEMA and UFA where;

1) Mbafu Jackson FDC Busongora South.
2) Bwambale Musasyaluka Jr- FDC Kasese Municipality
3) Mbalumba James NRM Kasese Municipality
4) Bihande Yokasi FDC Bukonzo East
5) Mujungu Gideon Independent Kasese Municipality
6) Kahungu Philemon PPP Bukonzo East
7) Isigoma UFA Kasese Municplity
8) Omar Musambigwa JEEMA Kasese Municipality

The citizens raised questions on the following topics that directly affect them among this include the problem of flooding of the Nyamwamba river which have affected the locals. There where several reactions from the aspirants


The second question raised was concerning why there is an increasing prices of medical services in Kaganda hospital in spite government subsiding the cost of medicare?
Mbafu Jackson FDC Busongora South said that there have to be accountability for medical services. So he called upon people to remove NRM and bring on board people who can deliver services since NRM people had failed the citizens because of prevalent corruption issues.


The JEEMA candidate challenged the citizens to vote people based on capabilities not parties. Assess leaders if they have been in power based on their accountablities. Therefore vote for people who will lobby for social amenities for people.

It has been also noted that all the district sub counties lacking water?
Also, question of dividing the Kasese district?
