NOMINATION OF MPS IN KASESE

A total of 14 parliamentary candidates have been dully nominated in Kasese district by the close of nominations. Out of the twenty four, three are women with only one woman challenging the man for Bukonzo west constituency.
The exercise ended successfully with no case of indiscipline and violence.
Credit should go to the electoral commission officials for the fault less exercise.

The following candidates were nominated from the National Resistance Movement.

  1. Dr. Crispus Kiyonga for Bukonzo West
  2. Mr. Elijah Kyetunda for Busongora North
  3. Mr. Kafude Boaz for Busongora south

Those from the IPC/FDC were

  1. Mr. Mbaju Jackson for Busongora South
  2. Mr. Yokasi Bihande Bwambale for Bukonzo East
  3. Ms Kabanyoro Biira Lucy for Bukonzo West
  4. Hon. Kiiza Winfred for Woman MP Kasese district
  5. Mr. Bwambale Moses Syahuka Jr. for Kasese Municipality
  6. Mr. Nzoghu William for Busongora North

Those from PPP

1. Mr. Kule Mbiwa Stephen for Busongora north

2. Mr. Kahungu Phile Amon for Bukonzo East

A total of three candidates were nominated as independents and these including;

1. The former MP for Bukonzo East Mr. Kithende Kalibogha Aprunalis for Bukonzo East,

2. Mr. Sewako B. Constantine for Busongora South

3. Mr. Ategeka B. Moses for Kasese Municipality.

The candidates then addressed their supporters at various venues in their constituencies. The situation was calm with no reported clashes.
