Observers Trained in Soroti

CEW-IT team working on use of ICT in the election monitoring participated in the training of 78 election observer for the Teso region in Soroti. The observers team is composed of 16 females and 62 males observers.
The observers were trained in general observation principles and praxis by Mr. Gwada from CCEDU and James Mwirima from RWECO, and use of mobile phones, email, to send election related incidents to a uchaguzi platform.

The observer training was preceded by the training of PAC moderators for the TESO regional data centre. 8 moderators where trained in the administration section of the uchaguzi platform among them 2 females and 6 male. This training was conducted by Emma and John Silco.
So, preparation for function regional data centre was completed and the team is awaiting for availability of the short code to start fully use of the uchaguzi uganda platform.
