KIZZACAMPAIGNS IN ARUA AND PROMISED BIG FOR THE PEOPLE OF ARUA.

On 29th Jan 2011, before his rally at Arua hill Primary School foot ball field business came to a standstill as Traders locked their shops and Customers all following the road to Arua Hill grounds. Cheering the presidential aspirant Dr. Kizza Besigye as he traveled to the venue of the rally and singing “ale ezaku ale Kizza I” meaning we do not like meat we love Kizza . This came as there was a party organized at Kamure park and several cows were slaughtered by the RDC for voters this appeared to the voters that it was a way of blocking them from attending the rally of Dr Kizza Besigye. The rally well attended by thousands of supports who remained cheerful up to the end of the rally.

With him were all the FDC flag bearers at the various levels and also the independent and incumbent MP for Arua Municipality Akbar Hussein Godi who as well excited the crowd as well and former Buganda Katikiro Lumwanyamuli Ssemwogerere who assured the people of Arua of their support for Kizza

In his speech promised city status for Arua as well as turning Arua air field into an international airport and also connecting Uganda to the national grid for Electricity and also promised to close the gap between the region and the other region by prioritizing its reconstruction. He further promised to put end to corruption, re-instate term limit to two terms, improve health delivery, create more jobs, reduce taxes and said the much desired change is coming construct silos for regulating the prices of food in the country

Besigye credited Iddi Amin for NTC Muni and said Museveni in the 25 years of rule even has nothing like muni to show to the people of Arua

He attacked the ruling government specifically president Museveni saying NRMO is not a political party but an enterprise of the president YK Museveni citing the examples of the top leadership of NRM being Museveni’s close relatives and thus its purpose is to meet the financial interest of the president.

Top was also the issue of 20 million given to MPs whose intention was not clear as well as the supplementary budget of 600 billion being passed 2 weeks ago and said such money if converted for construction of schools would be better.

He blamed civil servants like RDCs, DISO and GISO who are paid with the money from tax payers, they turn up to intimidate the tax payers and openly campaign for the NRM government. He further lamented that some of these people do not know where the bus is coming from and where its going, he knows NRM and Museveni more than any other person in West Nile
